A destination wedding during the Covid-19 pandemic seems almost inconceivable, but not impossible! And this couple proves us very wrong! As long as the most important factors are in place, such as social distancing, following guidelines and making sure your guests feel safe, a destination wedding is very achievable. This is exactly what Hannah and Timothy did for their wedding celebration at the Four Seasons Scottsdale. By looking at these stunning photographs, you’d have no idea that all this happened after Covid adjustments and numerous re-plans. After a year and a half of planning… and planning again, the result was a beautiful day with a socially distanced reception, moody colours and a wedding dress of any girls dream!
The day was inspired by the rich and warm tones of the desert, using the colours of the sunset such as pinks and oranges and matching them with cool purples and luscious greens. Even though this couple are city-dwellers, they feel a strong connection to nature and it was this sense of immersion in the natural world that inspired their day. Just take a look at these gorgeous photos!
It’s all in the details
These wedding invites encapsulate the desert theme perfectly!
We love this unique twist of a bridal boot!
Sugar sweet moments
The makeup look was natural and golden, perfectly reflecting the desert theme. The bride’s hair was styled in soft waves- simply radiant!
These beautiful blooms use the colours of a sunset and look simply stunning against the warm tone of the bride’s dress.
And it wouldn’t be a Covid-era wedding without a sanitising station! Face masks are great wedding favours at the moment.
The ceremony space has wonderful boho vibes!
This wooden ceremony backdrop is super cool and unique, with those flowers as well? Beautiful!
All about the dress
The bride fell in love with this gown four years before the wedding, and we can see why! The stunning blush tones of this wedding dress are simply divine. The bride first saw it when she was working at a wedding show and a model walked past her wearing the dress- from that moment, she knew it was her dress. Even though she was single at the time, four years later and a ring on her finger, she found out that the dress was still available!
Keeping to guidelines
The couple had a socially-distanced reception and accounted for all their guests’ needs. Check out how they pulled it off! Their secret was to make the Covid regulations subtle but purposeful. For example, they seated their guests in the social bubbles and had mandatory mask-wearing. The beautiful table decor is proof that you can still create a gorgeous wedding and great atmosphere whilst sticking to guidelines.
Taking on wedding planning during a pandemic is a hard task, but Hannah and Tim not only prove it can be done, but that it can be done beautifully.
