The Castle of San Cucao, a historic house of the legendary Valdés, and known as ‘La Torre de Valdés’, is a site of great memories, because its former lords were leading figures, not only in the Council, but in the Province. In 2006, it was declared a Cultural Interest of Asturias. It is an ideal option for holding events for companies such as weddings, communions or other gala events.
Their priority mission has always been to ensure that every celebration of events in our space of the castle of San Cucao is unforgettable and a reference in Asturias. Therefore, they always take care of every detail of each celebration. The close relationship with clients, makes them feel comfortable and important, because for them, they are. The castle is situated in a unique enclave, surrounded by nature and tranquility. Therefore, it becomes an enclave of easy access and closeness. We can say that one of the main seals of identity, is the famous tower of Valdés, built in the fourteenth century and recognized as Good of Cultural Interest of Asturias since 2006.
Wedding and Events
An outdoor area is available for the Ceremony (including chairs). Should an outdoor ceremony not be possible due to the weather, the hall inside the castle can be used instead.
The living area is separated for just a glass division from the dancing area, which allows people who are sitting and chatting at the tables, to also enjoy the party. At the dance floor is open bar so you do not have long commutes to order a drink. Also, from the dance floor you have direct access to the chill-out areas and outdoor cocktail in front of the stairway that leads to the large garden of the Castle.
We have spacious indoor and outdoor areas for the cocktail. If climate allows it, the snack would be served in an outdoor area prepared for this purpose with stunning views of Mount Naranco and the Castle.
Specially designed for weddings, our banquet room is a large open space with high ceilings and wooden floors that absorb excess “noise”. The presidential solid wood table, on stage, allows guests contemplation of the couple at all times and vice versa. Its decoration is a merge between medieval and avant-garde designs.
