The total number of people and professionals who work behind a wedding are much more than what we think. The Wedding Planner has a fundamental role, helping and suggesting the bride and groom on their decisions and when searching for venues and vendors for the great day. But, which is the difference with a Wedding Stylist? In the next part we will tell you.
The role of a Wedding Planner
The Wedding Planners are expert professionals who plan, organize and coordinate the wedding logistic for those bride and groom that rely on them. They can be hired for a day or for months. As part of their job, they have to take cake of all wedding details and elements, from the venue for the celebration, the coordination of vendors, supervision of the guest list, to the creation and managing of the wedding budget.
The big day, the wedding planner will have to ensure that everything is going well, in line with the organization and will have to solve any problem that may arise. The couple that rely on a wedding planner are doing so in particular to leave the organization and planning to an experienced professional. They are looking for an orientation and help, or simply, they do not have enough time to organize the wedding.
Sometimes, the bride and groom hire a wedding planner who will give them recommendations and manage the contracts with the vendors. In particular, a wedding planner is hired because the couple want the great day will occur exactly in the way they desire, with someone controlling everything.
The role of a Wedding Stylist
On the other hand, a Wedding Stylist has a role relatively new in the wedding world. Earlier, the wedding planner had to take care about the style and aesthetic of a wedding, but, in recent years and with even more frequency, the figure of the wedding stylist arises.
Her first task is to manage all the aspects related to the creative process, the design and aesthetic of the ceremony. She will write down all the bride and groom ideas, their preferences and history, using these details to be inspired when deciding the thematic and wedding style. The stylists will create the colour palette and will take into consideration the visual elements, such as flowers, furniture, accessories, stationery and lighting. When we talk about events like that, the wedding planner will manage the assembly, the supervision of vendors, the ceremony design and the venue areas to let them be perfect.
Thus, is it a good idea to contact both a wedding planner and a wedding stylist? For sure. Both of them will work together, agreeing on several issues and sharing ideas, in order to mix their viewpoint and realize the bride and groom desires.
