That being said, we unfortunately cannot accept every submission, no matter how much we would like to. Let us tell you what we are looking for, to help you submit a wedding blog to us that truly stands out!
Exclusive destination weddings
Here at Perfect Venue, we showcase unique destination weddings that take place in breathtaking locations all across Europe. We are looking for weddings that take place in exclusive European venues that offer a one-of-a-kind experience, such as a castle, winery, a country home, a luxury hotel, a beach… Anywhere that has that wow-factor!
Our aim is to inspire our readers and show them how special a destination wedding can be, and therefore we do prioritise real weddings and elopements, as they are sure to easily capture the fun and romance of a European wedding. That being said, we do still accept styled shoots, although they are not a priority at this time.
We want to celebrate love in every form, and so we always strive to provide a diverse and inclusive platform in which weddings of all forms are showcased, no matter the race, gender, religion or sexuality. As long as the wedding is a joyful, unique and romantic celebration in Europe, we will surely fall in love with it!
The event does not need to boast a big budget. It is important to remember that the most unique and sophisticated weddings can take place with a budget of any size, as all you really need is imagination! In fact, we embrace one-of-a-kind DIY decorations and personalised touches, perfect for a smaller budget.
A highly important element of the wedding must be individuality – The couple’s personality must shine through and fill the venue throughout the entire event. We are looking for the most original and exciting ways to reflect the couple’s personal style, passions and nature of their relationship throughout their special day, with the venue, decorations, flowers, outfits… The possibilities are endless!
Some further tips for what we are looking for include:
- Themed weddings
- Unique or on-trend colour schemes
- Smaller-scale weddings – around 20 to 200 guests
- Unique decorations
- On-trend wedding gowns and suits
What should I include in a submission?
First of all, for any wedding blog submission we require a large variety of photographs for us to choose from. We ask that your photographer ensures that we have the correct copyright requirements to share their photos of your special day, and also ask that they submit each photo with the correct sizing and specifications. We also insist that you provide us with a list of the vendors who were involved in bringing your dream wedding to life, with their social media accounts and website URL.
We would also love for you to write a few paragraphs in which you describe your unique touches, the ways in which your personality shines through, and any DIY projects you’ve featured. Essentially, we want you to tell us why your wedding stands out!
To help us really showcase your special day, it is essential that you submit plenty of perfect images that feature all the little details, from the bride’s bouquet to the wedding cake. Be sure to include photos of the romantic ceremony decorations, close up shots of the detailing in the bride and groom’s outfits, the banquet table decorations with the place mats and crockery, the unique flower arrangements, the wedding invitations… Anything that shows off the unique and personal touches that you have incorporated into your wedding day, and also showcases the amazing work of your vendors!
We would also like to see romantic and dramatic shots of the couple throughout the event, from the morning’s preparations to the end of the night, both separately and together, both on their own or surrounded by their guests. We do not however advise that you send us formal photos of your family and friends, shots of the guests dancing at the reception, photos from the rehearsal dinner or pre-wedding day events.
In terms of specifications, we favour:
- Images of the highest quality that are bright and crisp with a high focus and lots of natural light.
- A collection of anywhere between 50 and 100 images
- No watermarks
- No filters, except the occasional black and white edit
- Images should be no larger than 850px wide
We welcome a number of different platforms for sharing your images, although we do ask that if the platform requires you to share folders, you ensure that you send us the direct link to the folder, making sure that the word ‘home’ does not feature in the URL, otherwise we will not be able to access it. If a password is required to access your photos, please ensure to clearly state this in your wedding blog submission. We prefer to use platforms that are quicker and easy to navigate and access, such as WeTransfer.
How do I submit my wedding blog?
The easiest way to submit your wedding blog to us would be to send an email to email@example.com with a link to your photo collection, a list of vendors with their details and a few paragraphs describing your big day.
Ideally, we would prefer to avoid accepting a wedding blog submission that has already been featured on another wedding blog platform, as we try our best to provide new and original inspiration for our readers.
Once we have published your blog, we reserve the exclusive rights to your content, and therefore you cannot share this blog on other wedding blog platforms. We are however happy to allow you to post your wedding blog submission on your own blog platform.
It is essential that you ensure that the couple and the vendors featured in your photographs are happy to be a part of your submission, and you should remember that when you do submit any material to us, you assume ownership of its copyrighted work.
When will you hear from us?
As we have already mentioned, we of course love reading all of the wedding blog submissions that we receive, however we can only accept blog posts that fit with our current agenda for our platform.
It usually takes us 1 week on average to respond to a submission, as we receive so many and we want to ensure that we give every submission the same amount of attention. Consequently, if after 30 days we have not responded, please feel free to send us a follow up email and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
We aim to publish your submission as soon as possible, but please expect a 4 week wait, as we have many posts to publish and we want to ensure that each post is presented perfectly.
Please remember that any submissions without photographs, vendor information or text will not be considered under any circumstance.

It is most likely that we will promote your blog post on our Facebook and Instagram platforms, ensuring that we give credit to all of your vendors and by using a photo from your collection that truly captures the spirit of your event.
