The Amalfi coast is one of the most spectacular and most visited coasts in Italy, an impressive and very romantic place to say “Yes, I do” in the most unforgettable way. In the following inspiration, the couple decided to opt for a quite atypical range of colors, purple and pinks, and organize an incredible wedding on the Amalfi coast.
The ceremony, which was a small and intimate event, took place at Belmond Hotel Caruso de Ravello, known for its spectacular sights. This hotel is one of the most solicited of the locality of Ravello to celebrate weddings, since it is famous for its incredible garden featuring in its interior one of the best views of the Amalfi coast.
A couple with Italian origins
Carmela and Derek, the bride and groom, live in the United States, but the bride has Italian origins. Therefore, it was clear from the start that they wanted to get married there. The bride wanted something elegant, but with a strong personal touch.
This is why the couple went for organic flowers combined with modern tables. They chose the purple color with a touch of ivory for the flower adornments, the table’s cutlery and the cocktail’s sofas. These were completed by brown chairs that created a perfect atmosphere for the ceremony.
An open-air ceremony
The couple wrote its own ceremony speech with the help of the officiator, a close friend of the groom. The ceremony took place in the garden, with the Mediterranean sea, the Amalfi coast and the cliffs as a background. The cocktail was held in another part of the garden and the dinner served on a large table under the olive trees. When the dinner was over, the couple brought their guests to the impressive infinity pool of the hotel to cut the wedding cake and start with the drinks and dance. A perfect ceremony!
