The Venue

Laura and Alex had always dreamt about having a beach wedding, and so they decided to get married at Gecko Beach Club in Formentera on the waterfront with beautiful views of the shiny turquoise sea!

At this idyllic venue, the bride and groom met at the altar, made of pampas grass, providing a very natural scene for their wedding ceremony.

Unlike at traditional weddings, all of the guests wore white to the wedding ceremony, the same colour worn by both the bride and the groom.

The venue of the ceremony was unique and intimate, providing Alex and Laura with their dream ceremony, surrounded by their loved ones. Who wouldn’t want to get married at such a paradisiacal location?

Laura’s dress was very unique and bohemian

Keeping with their theme of a relaxed and intimate beach wedding, Laura knew that she wanted her dress to also reflect the nature of their wedding.

Laura chose an original white lace dress by Yolan Cris which featured illusion lace and a matching long lace train. Instead of shoes, to go with the beach theme the bride attended the ceremony barefoot, however she did add a small piece of jewellery to her feet.

The bride also decided to wear her hair loose with minimal makeup, providing a most natural look to blend in with the environment, which she also accompanied with a white veil.

The groom, Alex, also wore white

The groom didn’t hesitate when selecting his look for the big day. He followed the white colour theme of the wedding and opted for a casual white shirt with light beige trousers.

Unlike the bride, who wore a piece of jewellery on her feet, the groom opted for some light shoes to accompany his look.

The reception

After the wedding ceremony and their photo shoot, the bride and groom went to the reception venue with their guests ready for a delicious meal and party!

The reception venue, the Gecko Beach Club, followed the beach theme and every place had its own placemat with beach style décor. It was a truly beautiful reception!
