Codagh and Eoghan’s wedding at Tinakilly Country House was beautifully captured by Livia Figueiredo and proves that small weddings during the current pandemic are just as fun as large-scale weddings.
The country house in Wicklow provided a magical backdrop for their intimate wedding, whilst they were surrounded by their closest friends and family and arches covered in flowers.
If you’re looking for small wedding inspiration due to the Covid-19 restrictions, you’re in the right place! Just scroll through these mesmerising photos and you’ll see that weddings can still be successful despite the restrictions.
Clodagh and Eoghan’s Love Story
The couple met in 2006 when they were teenagers, and it was only until 2015 when they started dating! Soon after, Eoghan knew that Clodagh was the one and planned his proposal. He took her to a cove on Lough Corrib, where his grandfather had originally had a boat, and proposed to her by the water.
Sudden Wedding Alterations
They had hoped to have a big summer wedding, but, like many couples, had to change their plans after Covid hit. Their guest list included 160 people, which they had to reduce to 20 so that the wedding could go ahead with the restrictions!
They didn’t let the pandemic destroy their positive thinking and went ahead planning a much more intimate wedding. This meant that with a much smaller guest list, everyone was able to actually get to know each other and enjoy their company on the big day. As a group of 20, they were also able to go for a group swim at Magheramore Beach on the day after the wedding!
Tinakilly Country House
This Victorian house was the perfect destination for Clodagh and Eoghan’s wedding, with friendly staff who worked their hardest to make sure that the day went to plan despite the Covid restrictions.
Clodagh described the day as “a perfect family weekend away” which was filled with happy emotions as both of their mothers did readings of wishes for them and her brother played the wedding music. Clodagh’s mother and sister also helped design the table setting by using flowers grown by them and DIY name cards.
