We all know that weddings can feel like a stressful day for everyone involved, as there is so much planning and organisation needed to ensure that the day is perfect. This is why Joanna and Gillaume’s top priority was to have a relaxed wedding in Herdade da Maroteira, Portugal.
With the help of their wedding planner Sea Bride and Sun, they organised a Boho themed informal wedding which was thoroughly enjoyed by all of the guests.

A Location Adored By the Whole Family
As Joanna and Guillaume both have family ties to Portugal, it was important for their wedding to take place there. This enabled them to embrace the culture of their heritage and enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Alentejo region.
In order to complement the natural aesthetic of the region, they used colours of the nature there which included beige and ceramic tones, as a colour palette for their wedding. The ceremony was unique but personal to them and felt more like a fun gathering with their closest friends and family!
Natural Vibes
Joanna’s style was also very natural, as she wanted the relaxed vibe of the wedding to be reflected in her appearance. Her authentic dress was designed by Rue de Seine and her simple but chic makeup and hair was done by Les Jolies Filles.
The bridesmaids followed this theme and wore dresses which matched the natural colours of the region which made the whole wedding party look stunning when they stood together for the photos!
